7 Lakes – Ausangate Snow-Capped Mountain

Experience the wonderful one-day excursion to the 7 Ausangate Lakes with us. This journey offers a unique opportunity to gaze upon the crystal-clear waters of seven turquoise lakes, located in the Vilcanota Mountain Range. Additionally, you’ll have the proximity to the majestic Ausangate Mountain, the highest in Peru. Upon concluding, you can relax in thermal waters with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains, while observing the daily life of farmers in the Pacchanta community.


Itinerary

Day 1: Cusco – Pacchanta – 7 Lakes – Cusco.

We start by picking you up from your hotel at 3 am and head towards “PACCHANTA,” a community near the “Ausangate” snow-capped mountain at 4200 meters above sea level. There, you will enjoy breakfast before embarking on our gradual hike amidst the Andes mountain range to explore the “7 Ausangate Lakes.” We will begin with the first lake after approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of hiking (6 km). We’ll continue this exciting adventure by visiting the other lakes, in a hike of about 10 km (5 hours).

Upon returning to “PACCHANTA,” we will immerse ourselves in thermal waters and enjoy a lunch prepared by our chef. Finally, we will return to Cusco after this unforgettable experience.
