ATV Adventure in the Dwelling of the Gods

Full Day

Immerse yourself in the wonder of Apukunaq Tianan, one of Cusco’s newest tourist attractions. Its name, which translates to “The Dwelling of the Gods,” alludes to the numerous sculptures dedicated to Inca and Andean deities. Located 13 kilometers from Cusco’s Main Square, through the Tica Tica Arch, in the Huayna Corcor area of the Sencca locality, Poroy district, this place emerges as a result of a Cusco project aimed at preserving the tradition of stone carving. If you’re looking for a comprehensive experience to thoroughly explore this attraction, the ATV Tour: Dwelling of the Gods is the ideal choice.

During its creation, traditional rituals were performed in honor of the deities, and legends and myths arose that pique curiosity to discover this intriguing site. In Apukunaq Tianan, stone-carved monuments emerge in perfect harmony with nature. Cusco artist Michael de Titán Monteagudo Mejía was responsible for carving these magnificent works of art on private property, using local stone. They reach heights of up to 8 meters and include depictions of Andean and Amazonian men, pumas, a three-dimensional doorway, female deities, and more.
