Itinerary
Day 1: Pucllana – Downtown Lima
We begin our program with a panoramic view of the impressive “Pucllana pyramid,” a ceremonial and archaeological center built in the 4th century AD and considered sacred by the Incas.
Explore colonial Lima: We visit the Historic Center, where over fifty colonial monuments and buildings will transport us back in time. We will admire the Paseo de la República, San Martín Square, Main Square, Government Palace, Archbishop’s Palace, Cathedral Basilica, and Municipal Palace, among others.
Immerse yourself in the Central Reserve Bank Museum*, home to the “Treasures of Peru Collection,” a selective exhibition of gold objects, ceramics, and textiles from various pre-Columbian cultures.
We will continue exploring the monumental complex of San Francisco, a treasure of colonial religious art highlighted by its mysterious underground Catacombs.
*Central Reserve Bank Museum: closed on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and all day on Mondays.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to explore Lima’s most traditional residential areas, such as El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores, and Larcomar.
