Itinerary
Day 1: Hike to the Marvel of Machu Picchu
On the first day, we will start early at 4 a.m. with pick-up from your hotel. We will head to the train station in Ollantaytambo, where we will board the train at 6:10 a.m.
Along the Inca Trail, you will enjoy stunning views of natural landscapes, snow-capped mountains, and the majestic Urubamba River.
At Km 104, we will start our hike to Machu Picchu. Before we begin, we will take a group photo and provide you with snacks for the journey.
After the briefing and tour of the initial site, we will venture into the Inca Trail. If the weather permits, you will have breathtaking views of Machu Picchu and other Inca sites.
After walking for three hours, we will reach Wiñay Wayna, a beautiful Inca site at 2,600 m high. Here, you can explore temples, terraces, and learn about Inca history.
After a hot lunch, we will hike to the Sun Gate, where you will enjoy panoramic views of Machu Picchu.
Then we will take the bus to Aguas Calientes and head to your hotel. In the evening, we will enjoy a delicious dinner at the renowned Indio Feliz restaurant.

Day 2: Discover the “Lost City of the Incas”
We will wake up early to witness the sunrise at Machu Picchu and have a two-hour guided tour with a private English-speaking guide.
After the guided tour, you will have time to explore Machu Picchu at your own pace. Those with tickets to Huayna Picchu will be able to enjoy the climb to this mountain.
After exploring, you can take the bus or walk to Aguas Calientes to enjoy a free afternoon.
Finally, we will head back to Ollantaytambo by train and take you back to Cusco.

Recommendations
Travel Recommendations:
- Pack as light as possible, as there are no porters on this hike.
- Bring along your important documents, such as passport, valid student ID (if applicable), and migration card.
- Carry a small and lightweight backpack for the journey.
- Remember to bring a water reservoir, such as Camelbags, with a capacity of at least 2-3 liters.
- Wear comfortable and lightweight hiking boots with good soles.
- Don’t forget to include in your list toiletries items, such as sunscreen, facial moisturizer, insect repellent, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, toothbrush and toothpaste, toilet paper, personal medication, and a first aid kit.
- Take note of the backpack size restrictions within Machu Picchu, backpacks larger than 25 liters will not be allowed.
- Bring water for the first morning as there will not be time to filter water until the first lunch.
- Don’t forget to bring a hat for the sun, rain gear, wool hat, camera, music, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, and a small plastic bag for waste.
- Bring extra money for souvenirs, drinks, and tips.
- Consider bringing earplugs for a better rest during the journey.
